Fritton Lake Retreat, Norfolk, UK

Date: Friday 14 – Monday 17 June 2024

Price: from £990pp

join us for a REJUVENATING weekend of swimming, movement & relaxation at this luxurious private holiday club

Join Nicola for relaxing swims in the lake, swim technique sessions in the heated open air pool and optional gentle yoga classes on this friendly and luxurious short break.
This trip is suitable for all ability levels (both yoga and swimming) and is designed to leave you feeling relaxed and restored.

The focus for our pool sessions will be helping you to feel comfortable in the water, moving towards an efficient and balanced stroke (whether that be front crawl or breaststroke). The sessions in the lake will be an opportunity to stretch out and enjoy being immersed in nature.

The focus for the yoga practice will be on breath awareness, pranayama and gathering energy inwards. We will work with postures that open and close the body, open the chest and side body to increase space for deep, long breaths - all skills which should enhance and support your experience in the water. Strengthening work for the core, feet and legs will help us with both physical and emotional stability both on the land and in the water. These sessions will help us to make the most of the weekend, to find space to let go and release.

ABOUT FRITTON LAKE

Fritton Lake sits at the heart of a pioneering thousand-acre Norfolk rewilding project. Unspoilt woodland and lush meadows surround the sparkling lake at the heart of the estate. Around it is over 1,000 acres of land on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, given over to nature as part of a pioneering rewilding project at the forefront of an ambitious European rewilding programme.

In addition to the swimming itinerary, other sporting activities are included in your trip price, and there is plenty of space to walk, run, paddle board, kayak, chat with like minded guests or take some time for yourself.

ABOUT the clubhouse

Our base and accommodation for this break is the Fritton Clubhouse. It was once a 16th Century manor house, but now offers luxury hotel rooms and a fantastic restaurant. With authentic wooden floorboards, real fireplaces, exposed beams and brickwork, all blending seamlessly with modern comforts and contemporary design - this is a truly luxurious and relaxing place to stay for your SwimQuest retreat.  Rooms all have ultra-comfortable king size beds, spacious bathrooms and stunning views across the estate.
