READY FOR AN ADVENTURE? JOIN US FOR A UNIQUE AND UNFORGETTABLE WEEK-LONG RETREAT ON THE MAGICAL ISLAND OF FORMENTERA.
Would you like to go on an adventure? Do you feel like you need saving from the waves? Are you living the biggest, bravest, most beautiful life you can? If any of these questions resonate then join us on the idyllic island of Formentera (Ibiza's lesser-known little sister) for a new and unique Adventure Retreat week. Hosted by Jessica Hepburn - award-winning Author, Arts Producer and Adventure Activist, and Alice Todd - Co-Founder of SwimQuest - we promise you an unforgettable experience. It might just change your life.WHAT TO EXPECT
This week is designed to be an adventure in itself. Part creative journey, part adventure challenge, part soulful wellness retreat - it won’t be like anything you’ve done before or will do anywhere else. Set on Formentera - the smallest and most laid back of all the Balearic islands - imagine crystal clear waters with white sandy beaches backed by dunes and pine forests. But also think sangria sundowners, padron peppers and paella suppers. The week has been carefully curated to include a combination of inspiring activities that will take you on a joyful journey into nature, as well as into your own creative heart and soul. By the end of the week our aim is that you feel like you've been part of an experience that has been profoundly enriching; that you have challenged yourself and met that challenge with love; and that maybe you've got to know yourself a bit better and feel inspired to go on your next adventure in life.
Each day there will be a different swim and/or walk adventure from sunrise dips to starlit strolls. We will climb up to the stunning La Mola Lighthouse situated on the highest point of the island (don't worry it's only 200 metres high!) and walk its long stretches of sandy beaches in search of secret hidden swimming coves. Everyday there will also be a period of rest and reflection which you can spend as you wish - take your pick from a gentle yoga class with regenerative writing; to a massage at the hotel. We believe that down time on your own is as important as activities with other people - and we hope to create the perfect environment for both. There will also be a series of inspirational talks and workshops led by Jessica Hepburn and Alice Todd (see the itinerary for more details). And Wednesday is designated as our 'Adventure Challenge Day'. The goal of this is to choose an adventure which will stretch you and make your sundowner taste extra special. We will discuss this in detail during the retreat and there will be a selection of options on offer but the key thing to know now is that you choose your own challenge, not us! Then on the final day there will be the Retreat 'Pièce de Résistance': 'The Save Me from the Waves Soiree' inspired by Jessica's latest book which will explore the music who made you who you are, and encourage you to write your life in a list-of-love. Intrigued? Excited? All will be revealed - if you join us in Formentera next May.

TRAVEL TO FORMENTERA
TRIP START / FINISH TIMES
- We will meet at 5pm on Saturday for introductions and briefing. We suggest arriving in Formentera at around 3pm to give you time to check into your room and settle in before the briefing. SwimQuest head office will ask for your travel times pre tour so that our swim guides can pick you up from Formentera harbour and take you to the hotel.
- The trip finishes after a sunrise swim and breakfast on Friday morning. Check out is at 10am. Please note, your swim guides will travel back to Ibiza on Friday morning so if you are staying on the island post checkout you may need to book a taxi back to Formentera harbour - the hotel reception can help you with this.
FLY TO IBIZA
Fly to Ibiza and then jump in a taxi from the airport to Ibiza harbour to get the ferry to Formentera (please budget approx. €15-20 for this taxi journey.) Taxis are regular just outside the airport. Tell the taxi driver you are going to get a ferry to Formentera and he / she will drop you off by the Formentera ticket kiosks. For the cheapest flight options, have a look at www.skyscanner.co.uk. If you would prefer to arrive a day early, we would recommend the cheap but friendly and comfortable Hotel el Puerto in Ibiza town, close to the ferry port.FERRY FROM IBIZA TO FORMENTERA
There are a number of ferry companies offering a regular service (approx. every 30 minutes) from Ibiza to Formentera and back. Trasmappi, Balearia and Mediterranea–Pitiusa are popular options, cost the same and take the same amount of time (approx. 30 minute crossing). There is no need to buy a ticket in advance. Hint – when you buy a return ticket, it is worth checking that your return ferry journey allows you sufficient time to get to the airport, as you cannot transfer your ticket to another ferry provider and will have to purchase an additional single fare.AN EXTRA NIGHT IN IBIZA TOWN?
RECOMMENDED IN IBIZA TOWN:
Hotel el Puerto in Ibiza town is friendly and comfortable, and just a 2 minute walk from the ferry port should you need to arrive a day early / leave a day later. Please feel free to book a room through Lourdes in their reservations team. Tell them you are booking through SwimQuest and you can claim a 10% discount.HOTEL CONTACT:
