This Balearic sun-drenched island is a dreamscape of turquoise shallows, golden sands, and wild, untouched coastline - Ibiza's lesser known, laid back little sister.

Formentera offers the ultimate Mediterranean swim escape — where seagrass meadows sway beneath you, and each swim feels like slipping through liquid light. Formentera boasts some of the clearest waters in Europe, thanks to its Posidonia seagrass meadows - among the largest and oldest in the world.

THE ITINERARY

There are two planned swims per day based on how you progress during the week. Please realise that the below is a very rough guide and that we will adapt the week carefully for each individual.
We’ll meet at 5:00 PM for a mandatory safety briefing, where we’ll cover everything you need to know for a safe and enjoyable week ahead. Topics include open water safety, swim preparation, route planning, prevailing weather conditions, and our safety protocols. After the briefing, we’ll head down to the nearby shallow bay for a short acclimatisation swim. This gentle session is a chance for you to get comfortable in the water and for our guides to understand your ability level, helping them tailor the experience to best support you throughout the week. We’ll then relax over a welcome dinner and have time to chat informally about the swims to come.If you're unavoidably delayed, don’t worry — we can reschedule the briefing for Sunday morning.
Our day is designed to be easy-going, allowing you to settle in after your journey. After breakfast, we'll head down to the adjacent bay for our first sea swim, focusing on finding our comfort levels and enjoying the experience as we swim around the bay, out to 'Rolls Rock' and back in towards the shore. During this swim session, the guides will film your stroke above and below the water. Distances are adaptable if the rock feels too far.
After lunch, your swim guides will take you to to Cala Saona for the afternoon, a quiet, secluded and spectacular bay on Formentera's west coast. Soak up the sun, enjoy some technique tips and take a dip in this postcard-perfect spot.
SATURDAY: WELCOME & ACCLIMATISATION

TUESDAY
After breakfast we will make our way to Es Calo on Formentera's north side for gentle swims or a dip in these delightful turquoise bays. Enjoy a packed lunch on the beach before getting back into the minibus and heading across to Mijorn for an opportunity to stretch out and complete a slightly longer coastal swim, or - if you prefer - sit in the beach bar and watch!

FRIDAY

TRAVEL TO FORMENTERA
TRIP START / FINISH TIMES
- We will meet at 5pm on Saturday for introductions and safety briefing. We suggest arriving in Formentera at around 3pm to give you time to check into your room and settle in before the briefing. SwimQuest head office will ask for your travel times pre tour so that our swim guides can pick you up from Formentera harbour and take you to the hotel.
- The trip finishes after a sunrise swim and breakfast on Friday morning. Check out is at 10am. Please note, your swim guides will travel back to Ibiza on Friday morning so if you are staying on the island post checkout you may need to book a taxi back to Formentera harbour - the hotel reception can help you with this.
FLY TO IBIZA

FERRY FROM IBIZA TO FORMENTERA
There are a number of ferry companies offering a regular service (approx. every 30 minutes) from Ibiza to Formentera and back. Trasmappi, Balearia and Mediterranea–Pitiusa are popular options, cost the same and take the same amount of time (approx. 30 minute crossing). There is no need to buy a ticket in advance. Hint – when you buy a return ticket, it is worth checking that your return ferry journey allows you sufficient time to get to the airport, as you cannot transfer your ticket to another ferry provider and will have to purchase an additional single fare.AN EXTRA NIGHT IN IBIZA TOWN?
