The brief
As one of the 15 global partners of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games insurance company Allianz launched an ambitious employee engagement campaign aiming to raise over £100,000 for Allianz Charities. The campaign, called ‘Path to Paris’ aimed to bring colleagues from across the UK closer together in the build-up to the 2024 games with a series of localised fundraising events – which involved passing an Olympic torch from the top to the bottom of the UK. As part of the Path to Paris, the Allianz team would complete an English Channel relay swim – taking the Allianz torch from Dover to the French shores.

THE OUTCOME
“SwimQuest has been instrumental in the success of our ambitious Channel Swim Relay attempt. Their expertise in open-water safety, swim preparation, and ability to navigate the nuances and requirements of long-distance swimming challenges has been invaluable. We are thrilled to have surpassed our original fundraising targets, raising over £50,000 for Barbados with this relay. We couldn’t have achieved this without SwimQuest’s support and guidance, and we wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again.” Francesca Peschier, Allianz Brand Consultant
