Our mission? To create magical open water swimming experiences that inspire awe, bring joy and transform lives.
We started SwimQuest to make open water travel personal. We believe that going on a SwimQuest trip should feel like going on holiday with friends or family. A decade later, that spirit is still at the heart of everything we do."
Our story began with John, who was involved in swim travel right from its inception back in 2003. He wanted to create more personalised, informal open water tours where guests felt safe, nurtured and cared for.
Then he met Alice, who was looking for a new venture and shared his vision. Together, they founded SwimQuest. Over the past 10 years, we have grown organically to offer an incredible range of holidays and events, which bring together the awe of nature with people who are looking for adventure in the great outdoors.

Non-swimmers are welcome to join us and take part as much or as little as they wish. They can join the guides on the boats, watch the swimmers or simply take some time out to explore the location or relax. What’s more – they get a 10% discount!
