Egypt
- Egypt
This tour has been designed as a live-aboard to give us the best possible access to the swimming spots in the Red Sea. Your home for the week will be the MV Emperor Asmaa, with all rooms equipped with en suite bathrooms, mini bars and towels. Upper deck cabins have large windows with views over the ocean.
The Red Sea is one of the most spectacular places on earth to put your face in the water. Expect vivid coral gardens, kaleidoscopic reef fish, rays, turtles, and if you’re lucky – dolphins. Visibility can stretch to 30 metres or more, making every swim feel like flying through a living aquarium.
Highlights
Close encounters
If we are lucky, this trip is a great opportunity to see dolphins in the wild.
Sunset over the desert
There's something particularly special about watching the sun set from a boat deck. Enjoy a drink from the deck as the golden sun sinks over the desert cliffs.
Unmatched visibility
The Red Sea is legendary for its clarity - on a calm day, visibility can reach 30 metres or more, giving you the sensation of swimming through glass. A colourful assault on the senses.

Fly to Hurghada
Fly to Hurghada airport (HRG). For help finding flight information and prices, you may wish to try a flight search engine such as Skyscanner or Kayak.
Transfer to Hurghada Jetty
-
- A transfer from the airport to the boat will be at 18:00 on the first day, and is included in your trip price. This takes approximately 20 minutes by car. If you need a transfer after this time, this is possible and is paid locally. The cost of this depends on the number of passengers, but as an idea, a transfer for 1 or 2 people will cost 12 Euros. If there are more passengers, a larger vehicle will be required and so the price will change slightly.
- Please note that should separate flights arrive within a short time of each other, you may be requested to wait until all the guests have arrived before departure. This prevents unnecessary journeys to and from the airport. If you are already in Egypt you should contact us for transfer details.
- The boat moors near Hurghada and departs early on the morning following the check-in day.
Transfer back to Hurghada Airport
Check out is at 9am on the last day of the cruise, with a transfer back to the airport for the whole group at 9:30am.
For guests continuing their holiday in the Red Sea at a resort, hotel or another liveaboard, your on-going transfers need to be arranged by you from the airport. We will not be able to arrange direct transfers from the liveaboard to resorts.
