There are two planned swims per day based on how you progress during the week. Most days will also involve a swim seminar, or video feedback session. The below is a very rough guide and we will adapt the week carefully for each individual. Nature and the weather can be unpredictable, so your flexibility is important. All swims are planned with safety at their heart, and your guides will adapt the plan day by day to ensure the best possible experience.

Saturday

Arrival

As most flights arrive late in the evening, the guides will introduce themselves and ensure you have checked into your rooms before letting you get some rest ahead of Sunday morning’s breakfast, briefing and first swim.

Sunday

The foundations

This morning we will meet for breakfast and the safety briefing, before heading to the local bay for our first acclimatisation swim – focusing on finding our comfort levels and enjoying the experience. During this swim session, the guides will film your stroke above and below the water. After lunch, Michael will share his inspiring story during a land-based talk, and talk us through the foundations of the stoke – with an emphasis on breathing. In the afternoon, those who feel comfortable can join a short bay swim with technique tips from Michael and the team. Before dinner, we’ll have our first video analysis session. Michael will provide valuable feedback on your current technique and outline the focus areas for the rest of the week.

Monday

Positioning

This morning we will head down to the Gulet and set sail. As our captain finds our first swim spot, Michael will talk us through the importance of body position whilst swimming – after which we will anchor and try out some new skills. After lunch, we will head to our second swim spot, and enjoy an extended swim, whilst Michael takes people off in small groups to work more closely on certain focus areas.

Tuesday

Propulsion

This morning we focus on propulsion. We board the Gulet this morning and head to a sheltered shallow bay where Michael will guide you through some useful drills. After lunch on board, we head out again to the five islands and complete a short circumnavigation.

Wednesday

Open water skills

There will be optional one-to-one technique sessions with Michael in the pool before breakfast, after which we board the Gulet and set sail to our next open water swim spot – keep an eye out for turtles on this glorious coastal stretch. Today will focus on making the most of your time in open water, specific open water skills and maximising your efficiency and enjoyment, with some gentle coaching from Michael and your swim guides as you start to put new skills into action. In the afternoon there is an opportunity for a slightly longer coastal swim for those still keen – or simply sit back with a book and enjoy the view from deck.

Thursday

Into the deep!

This is your last full day of swimming and what a day we have planned! Today we head to the Sunken City of Kekova. After a explore of the local ruins and a stop at the best ice cream cafe in town, we board another boat to explore this incredible spot – steeped in history. Throughout the day there are various opportunities to jump in and enjoy the water. Once back at the hotel, there will be time to relax and then we will go into town for our last dinner together.

Friday

Short bay swim

This morning we will enjoy a glorious, optional sunrise swim before breakfast and departures.
