Nature and the weather can be unpredictable, so your flexibility is important. All swims are planned with safety at their heart, and your guides and the UltraSwim 33.3 team will adapt the plan day by day to ensure the best possible experience.

WEDNESDAY

Arrival and coaching

On landing, we’ll pick you up from Dubrovnik airport and transfer you to the hotel (approx. 35 minutes). Once you’ve had time to settle in, Nicola will lead a final coached swim to shake off the travel tension before the week begins. The day finishes with dinner together, where we’ll run through what to expect over the coming week.

THURSDAY

Course preview & registration

This morning we head out by boat for a close look at the UltraSwim 33.3 course you’ll be tackling over the coming days. We’ll break up the trip with a short 1km swim, before stopping for lunch.

In the afternoon, we make our way to the registration area to collect race packs and meet your fellow swimmers, followed by an acclimatisation swim to get a feel for the water.

The day winds down with dinner together before an early night – rest up for the days ahead!

FRIDAY

UltraSwim 33.3 day 1

The action starts with a 4km swim from Lazure Marina to Portonovi Beach Club. After a short rest and refuel, we continue this stunning coastal route, with a 4.8km swim from Portonovi Beach Club – taking in a 750m channel crossing as we head towards our finish point for the day – Rose Beach.

SATURDAY

UltraSwim 33.3 day 2

An even bigger day on the water! We start the day with an impressive 7.9km swim from Lustica Bay Marina Beach to Veslo, stopping for a quick feedstation at the 4.5km mark. After lunch, swimmers take on the iconic (and mandatory, though untimed) swim around Mamula Island – twice! This adds another 1.8km as we creep closer to the 33.3km distance.
SUNDAY

UltraSwim 33.3 day 3

The longest swim of the week: 10.9km from the iconic and impressive Blue Cave to Rose Beach, with feedstations at 4.5km and 8km to keep everyone fuelled along the way.

MONDAY

UltraSwim 33.3 day 4

The final day brings a 4.8km swim from the Croatia border to Dobrec, featuring a 2.2km channel crossing and passing the submarine pen at the 2.4km mark. The week then closes with a short, celebratory 0.2km final swim-in at Lazure Beach at 11:15 – then time for some well earned celebratory bubbles! Our group will then collect our bags from the hotel and head to Dubrovnik, where there will be time to explore the old city, and head out for a delicious dinner and drinks to celebrate our achievements.

TUESDAY

Dubrovnik city walls & departures

This morning, we will wake and set off for a gentle swim around Dubrovnik City Walls – spectacular from the water, before our final lunch together (not included) and departures. We recommend booking a late afternoon flight home to make the most of this final day.
