There are two planned swims per day based on how you progress during the week. Most days will also involve a swim seminar, or video feedback session. The below is a very rough guide and we will adapt the week carefully for each individual. Nature and the weather can be unpredictable, so your flexibility is important. All swims are planned with safety at their heart, and your guides will adapt the plan day by day to ensure the best possible experience.

Saturday

Welcome and acclimatisation

We will meet at 5pm for the mandatory safety briefing. We will then complete a short acclimatisation swim in a shallow bay by the villa. This allows Michael and the swim guides to assess your stroke and start preparing an individual plan for you for the week. Following this we will relax and have dinner, with time to discuss the week ahead.

Sunday

The foundations

After breakfast, we’ll head down to the water for our first sea swim, focusing on finding our comfort levels and enjoying the experience. During this session, the guides will film your stroke in the water. After lunch, Michael will share his inspiring story during a land-based talk, and talk us through the foundations of the stroke. In the afternoon we’ll have a short bay swim with technique tips from Michael and the team. Before dinner, we’ll have our first video analysis session. Michael will provide feedback on your technique and outline the focus areas for the rest of the week.

Monday

Body positioning

This morning we will head to the award-winning Carribean-white Playa de Illetes beach where we will complete a session focused on the importance of body position whilst swimming. After lunch, the SwimQuest guides will offer the opportunity to put new skills into practice with an extended swim, whilst Michael takes people off in small groups to work more closely on certain focus areas.

Tuesday

Propulsion

After breakfast we will make our way to the pool for a structured swim technique session. This is a great opportunity for Michael to monitor your progress up close and give you personalised skills to work on for the afternoon session and to take away and practice at home. After lunch, we will settle in for a technique seminar with a focus on the propulsion phase, before heading back out for our second sea swim of the day, to try out some of Michael’s tips.

Wednesday

Open water skills

There will be optional one-to-one technique sessions with Michael before breakfast. After breakfast, we will travel by car to a local bay, and depending on the weather, will attempt a slightly longer continuous swim. After lunch, Michael shares some valuable open water skills with us addressing sighting, buoy turns, and swimming in wavy conditions.

Thursday

Into the deep!

This is your last full day of swimming with two great seas swims. The morning swim is a coastal swim along the peninsula. With amazing shallow beaches along the way, it is the perfect way to stretch out and enjoy your new stroke. In the afternoon we will head out of the bay and swim back to the beach by the hotel. The swim is a great way to see the coastline and some underwater sea life. Once back, there will be time to relax and then we will go into town for our last dinner together.

Friday

Short bay swim

As this is the last day, there will be a short pre-breakfast sunrise bay swim as you will need to pack and prepare for your ferry back to Ibiza.
