Katia Vastiau
Swimming has been a lifelong passion for Katia. She first discovered her love of the water as a teenager and later rekindled it through open-water swimming. Whether exploring new locations from a unique waterside perspective or helping others experience the joy of open water safely, swimming remains at the heart of everything she does.
A bioengineer and scientist by profession, Katia now spends much of her time outdoors. She manages a safety team at Queenford Lakes in Oxford and plays an active role in organising and supporting swimming events. Through her photography, she loves showcasing the beauty of swim locations and inspiring others to discover them for themselves.
Swimming outdoors gives me the freedom to explore places from another viewpoint and connect with the incredible wildlife that calls our waterways home.
