Nick Lishman
Nick Lishman is a co-founder of the Scilly Swim Challenge, established in 2014. Working alongside Dewi Winkle and Bryony Lishman, he helped shape the event into its distinctive format: a 15km, island-hopping open-water challenge across the Isles of Scilly, combining swimming and short crossings between islands, with a strong emphasis on safety, inclusivity, and shared experience over competition.
With routes in Scilly, Nick is now based in Bristol. Alongside his work in open-water swimming, he is also a keen musician, bringing a creative edge to his wider pursuits.
I love being a part of the Scilly Swim Challenge. The Isles of Scilly are wild, remote and beautiful – and every swim there feels different from the last. The challenge enables people to experience nature at its most impressive.
