how to train for open water swimming in a pool
Many guests ask us how they should be training for an open water event or preparing for their swim vacation when they visit the pool. If you are serious about improving your swimming fitness and speed, then working to ‘swim sets’ is an excellent idea.
Rather than simply visiting the pool and swimming endless lengths, sets help you to structure your training, add variety, and monitor your progress.
A “swim set” is a structured plan for your pool session, which usually involves a warm up, technique set, main set and cool down.
We have teamed up with some of our guides and coaches to provide you with free varied, printable sessions. We will be releasing one new set every Monday to give you some much needed #mondaymotivation! Our sets will be a mixture of duration and ability level.
