new: winter swimming BREAKS in CORNWALL

join us to experience some SwimQuest magic in one of the most magnificEnt country houses in the UK - for a completely luxurious, totally enchanting, spoil-yourself escape. You know you deserve it.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Swimming

This short break will include spectacular, short sea swims (or ‘dips’ – as you wish!) at some of the amazing beaches just a 15-20 minute drive from Boconnoc. Swims will be planned carefully taking into account weather conditions. In addition to our sea swims, there is an on-site lake for anyone who can’t resist an extra dip. You are welcome to swim with or without a wetsuit; swim distances are adaptable and guides will advise what is best for you depending on your ability, the weather conditions, and your swimming experience.

Eating

We are lucky enough to have historic, Boconnoc House as the base for this tour. All food is included during your stay and will be cooked on site. Expect plentiful continental and cooked breakfast choices, homemade soups, sandwiches and salads for lunch, and homely warming dinner options. Did we mention afternoon tea? Bring an appetite! Dietary requirements can be catered for, please advise SwimQuest in advance.

Walking

We have carefully structured the weekend to allow time for you to explore this beautiful area on foot; as a group or on your own (at your own risk). Swims may require a short walk so please ensure you bring comfortable walking shoes with you.  If you are a keen runner – pack your trainers, there are beautiful running trails around the estate.

Boconnoc Panel Dining Room

Panelled Dining Room in Boconnoc House

Boconnoc is a family owned estate with a fascinating history. This break is an opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of the daily grind and enjoy Cornwall at its best. We endeavour to ensure that you have everything you need to completely relax and feel at home. Enjoy spacious living areas, unlimited tea and coffee, and afternoon teas (with plenty of cake), to help you unwind and soak up your surroundings.

ABOUT BOCONNOC

Boconnoc is a stunning Cornish Estate situated in Lostwithiel, a tranquil hidden away sanctuary surrounded by rolling countryside, trees and wildlife.

Luminaries, royals, and other famous personalities have all found their way to Boconnoc: from King Charles I, who spent the night in what is now the King’s Bedroom, to Thomas “Diamond” Pitt, the former Governor of Madras. In fact, Pitt made Boconnoc his home after selling his infamous diamond—first discovered in Golconda, India—to the French Crown.

Boconnoc House, our home for the trip, sits in the middle of the estate and offers endless walking routes, and picture-perfect gardens to explore.

Indoors, indulge in sumptuous duvets, crisp white linen and contemporary interiors. Get lost in a novel in the library, or sit with a rose on the terrace.

We hope you decide to join us for a very special few days of swimming antics, a spot of luxury – and of course, some swimspirational fun.
