Dover Channel Training

This unique training group dates back to 1982, when Alison Streeter was training to swim the Channel. Freda (Alison’s mum) took over and at that time there were just a few swimmers in Dover. Over the years people approached Freda and asked if they could join in; since then, Freda has welcomed thousands of swimmers with open arms. Dover Channel Training is a group of likeminded swimmers training together in Dover Harbour in preparation for a Channel Swim. For more information, visit

Dudley Sea Swimmers

Durley Swimmers started in 2013 to support individuals swimming the English Channel that year. It has gone from strength to strength, with many swimmers returning and new swimmers attending each year. Swims take place every weekend from May to September. To find out more, visit
